The

homepage is complete, but it doesn't appear when I search. The manufacturer says it's "coming soon," and a few weeks later it's still there. At this time, we will organize what to check and what to ask the company in the order of .

How long has it been since you made it?

The first thing to look at is the time. It usually takes a few weeks for a new website to appear in searches. This is because search engines need to discover, read, and judge new sites.

If it has been open for less than a week, it is still within the normal range. However, you can't just wait for ; there are things you need to do in the meantime. That's the next entry.

Did you notify the search engines?

Search engines do not automatically know that a new site exists. I need to tell you. Specifically, there are two.

Register your site in Google's search console and Naver's search advisor and submit a site map. A sitemap is a listing file that says, “We have these pages on our site.”

This can be done in one day. However, if it is not within the scope of production, no one will do it. is created and not notified.

Didn't you stop it from crawling?

This is a problem that is found surprisingly often. During production, access to the search engine is blocked to prevent the unfinished site from being exposed in searches. However, there are times when you forget to unlock the settings when opening it.

Checking is simple. Enter my domain/robots.txt in the address bar. Disallow: If it says / , it is completely blocked.

If you are using WordPress, check whether the “Request that search engines not index this site” item is checked in the settings. Does

appear in the company name?

Here we can divide the problem into two types.

If it appears under the company name

Search company name Search general keywords What does it mean
does not appeardoes not appearNot yet indexed — Check the items above
AppearedNot includedIndexed, but losing out in competition — Time and content issues

, most of the technical issues have been resolved. If you search for

by the company name, is no urgent problem. General keywords are inherently a time consuming area.

What should I ask the manufacturer?

Question What you want to check
Have you registered with Google Search Console?Did you notify the search engine
What about Naver Search Advisor?Naver requires separate registration
Have you submitted a site map? What you created and what you submitted are different
Are there any blocks left in robots.txt? Are there any settings left during development?
Are there titles and descriptions on each page? These are the phrases that appear in the search results.

Five sentences are enough. If there's something you're having trouble answering, that's likely the cause.

To summarize, the order is

Check whether it is time to wait → Check whether it is registered → Check whether it is blocked → Check whether it is in the company name . In most cases, the cause arises within these four steps. Measure before modifying

and . always comes first. If you start touching something without knowing the cause, you will end up touching a healthy part.
